INFRASOFT

Built to take responsibility, not to sell hours

Infrasoft Development is a custom software development company in Bucharest that works with a small number of Western European enterprises under long-term contracts. This page explains why we exist and why we are structured the way we are.

01

Why Infrasoft exists

The European outsourcing market runs on a simple transaction: agencies sell man-days, clients buy capacity. It works well enough for staffing a project. It fails the moment something breaks in production, because a man-day contract obliges nobody to fix anything — it obliges someone to be present. Responsibility for the platform stays with the client, along with the pager, the risk, and the 3 a.m. phone call.

We started Infrasoft to close that gap. The enterprises we talked to did not lack access to developers; they lacked a partner willing to sign for outcomes — uptime, response times, resolution times — and to carry the consequences when those commitments were missed. That is a different business than renting out engineers. It requires seniority, continuity, and contracts with teeth: severity levels, measured response windows, and remedies written down before the work begins.

So we chose what to be. A custom software development company for European enterprises that takes end-to-end responsibility for the systems it builds and operates, under contractual SLAs. Deliberately few clients, so every engagement gets senior attention. Long contracts, because operating a platform well is a compounding activity, not a sprint. We build software, we run it, and we answer for it.

Why Romania

Romania has one of the strongest engineering traditions in the European Union. Its polytechnic universities have produced generations of software engineers, and Bucharest hosts a deep, competitive market for senior technical talent — people who have spent years running production systems for demanding European and international companies. That is the pool we recruit from, and it is the reason we can keep a senior-only bar without compromise.

Location also settles questions that otherwise take months of legal review. Romania is an EU member state: contracts sit under EU law, GDPR is our native legal environment rather than an adaptation, and client data stays inside the Union. And Bucharest runs one hour ahead of Central European Time, so we share your working day — your morning stand-up is our morning stand-up, and a P1 raised from Paris or Munich lands on an engineer who is already at work.

01

Engineering talent

Romania’s technical universities and its large software industry give us a deep pool of experienced engineers. We hire selectively from it, at senior level only.

02

EU and GDPR by default

As an EU company, we contract under EU law and process data under GDPR as our default condition, not as an added service. Client data stays in the Union.

03

CET proximity

Bucharest works one hour ahead of CET, so our business day overlaps almost entirely with yours. Meetings, incidents, and escalations happen in real time, not overnight.

03

What we hold ourselves to

Three principles shape every contract we sign and every decision we make inside an engagement.

01

Ownership

We take responsibility for outcomes, not tasks. When we sign an SLA, the pager is ours, and so are the consequences of missing a commitment. If a system we operate fails, we do not open a discussion about scope — we fix it, then explain what happened and what changes.

02

Transparency

You see what we see: monitoring data, incident timelines, post-mortems, and honest monthly reporting against the SLA. When we make a mistake, you hear it from us first. When a request is a bad idea, we say so before we bill for it.

03

Longevity

We optimise for the tenth year of a relationship, not the first invoice. That means documentation kept current, architecture decisions you can live with long after any single engineer moves on, and no dependency engineered for the purpose of retaining you.

« A client we keep for ten years is worth more to us than ten clients we keep for a year. We built the whole company around that arithmetic. »

The team

Infrasoft is a deliberately small senior team. We do not hire juniors and train them on your systems, and we do not scale headcount to chase revenue. Every engineer here has years of production experience — building backend systems, operating cloud infrastructure, carrying on-call duty — before they touch a client platform. Keeping the team small is what keeps the bar high, and it is why we accept few clients at a time.

It also changes who you talk to. There is no account-management layer translating between you and the people doing the work: the engineer who designs your architecture is the one who explains it, and the one who answers when it misbehaves. Rotation is low by design, because an SLA is only as good as the accumulated knowledge of the people who hold it. The team that starts your engagement is, deliberately, the team that runs it years later.

05

Compliance and data protection

We operate as a processor for our clients’ data and treat GDPR compliance as an engineering requirement, not a legal afterthought. Data residency, encryption, and access control are designed into every platform we build or take over, and documented so your own compliance function can verify them.

  • Data processing agreements (DPAs) signed with every client
  • EU data residency for client data by default
  • Encryption in transit and at rest
  • Documented incident response and breach notification procedures
